Six past SIFF films return to Seattle this week including the Closing Night Gala Film, the #5 Most Liked Doc and the #12 Most Liked Feature! Yea!

SIFF 2008's #5 Most Liked Documentary Man on a Wire returns to Seattle this week as well as the #12 Most Liked Feature Film Boy A. Bottle Shock, the SIFF 2008 Closing Night Gala Film is being uncorked this week as well.
Also this week, SIFF Cinema begins it's 3-week long retrospective of French filmmaker Jean-Luc Godard’s work, starting with Contempt which plays all week long. Support your SIFF Cinema and see it! :-)
Don't forget Saturday morning 10AM SIFF Cinema will be showing Agnieszka Holland's The Secret Garden at SIFF Cinema (10AM Saturday ONLY) part of the Films4Families program.

So...what are the other gems being screened in Seattle this week? Well....the rarest of all screenings this week is a 35mm screening of director Orson Welles Chimes at Midnight (RARE ALERT: NOT ON DVD) at the NWFF (7PM Fri, Sat & Sun ONLY). Also getting rare 35mm screenings in town are George Stevens' screwball comedy The More the Merrier at the Seattle Art Museum on Thursday night 7:30PM ONLY,  Akira Kurosawa's Ikiru at the Metro on Wednesday night 7PM ONLY and Jean Renoir's Boudu Saved from Drowning  at the Seattle Art Musuem Friday (tonight) ONLY at 7:30PM.

There are a total of five return arrivals of SIFF 2008 films this week: Man on a Wire, Bottle Shock, Elegy, Baghead, Boy A plus a SIFF 2007 doc Monster Camp.
